Simple accessories and wearing the F21 skirt I bought a while back.
This Thursday predicted rain
but instead I headed through a very misty Upper East Side
to the Society of Illustrators.The incredible Bil Donovan was doing a special sketch night there
demonstrating Selectivity and seeing the figure in just a few shapes.It was a fun night,
three gorgeous models wore an array of gowns and outfits.
Bil made his rounds, the space was packed with all sorts of folks.
Among them were the lovely Karen Santry and Janice Salek,
they were my amazing instructors, as was Bil Donovan.
They taught me so much of what I know today.
Never stop learning, be excited.

I’ve been stalking these loafers from topshop.com for awhile now. Everytime they put them up they sell out so fast. So after many weeks of obsessing I finally got them! I like the rocker-chic look of these loafers. Also had to order some stunning neon accessories to add some flare to any outfit. Stripes and Spikes!
I know stripes and spikes would be on different fashion spectrums but I like mashing together opposites. I’m really into the collared shirt trend with a statement necklace. I paired the collared shirt and Alex and Chloe necklace from F21 with an H&M faux leather jacket and red skinny jeans from Urbanoutfitters. Also wearing a H&M knit sweater and military boots from Steve madden. And if you haven’t noticed F21 in the background.. Lol.. They have the best lighting! I hope this outfit pushes you to step out of your comfort zone and mix together things that aren’t supposed to be together! LMK.
I think I’ll join the band…
If only I could wear this cropped band jacket! I’m really into funky pieces and when I saw this at H&M I had to have it. I paired it with just a plain white oversized Shirt from Nordies and some bracelets from F21.
Matching the Unmatchable…
Sometimes I need an outfit to go from church to the mall or wherever Sunday night takes me. I paired a denim collared shirt, that I added a couple of studs to the collar, with a blazer. The textures are totally different but they match! And the military boots add the edge the outfit needed.

Spring into Spring….with Bunnies
What better way to jump into all things spring than with Bunnies! I got this amazing shirt from H&M. It caught my eye because of the black and white color which I love wearing these colors together and I find myself gravitating towards black and white a lot. I just think these two colors together are so classic looking that when you look back at pictures years from now.. they will still look great and you won’t be dating yourself. And back to the blouse who doesn’t like bunnies??!? They are adorable. And it’s an unexpected suprise for people when you wear it out. I get many of my accessories at F21 or H&M just because I feel like accessory styles change so frequently that I don’t want to spend a lot on them. Plus F21 has amazing stuff. My necklace is from F21 and my armparty is from H&M. I’m really digging studs and colorful armparties. I’ve paired my bunny blouse with electric blue pants from F21 and Steve Madden distressed military boots. I love adding a pop of color with the jeans to the black and white. Also I live in these boots… they are so comfy and go with everything from shorts to dresses to jeans. A great staple in my wardrobe.
Harajuku Mini….
Who doesn’t love Gwen Stefani?? She has to be one of my fav fashion icons! I love her funkyness and how she mixes patterns and textures with a Japanese Preppy Punk flair. When her line came out for kids at target, I had to snag a few pieces for my daughter. She is wearing a Ralph Lauren shirt dress with the Harajuku mini overalls in plaid over the dress, her jacket is sailor-inspired and cropped from F21, Gapkids striped tights, and Red Converse. Also she is rocking the harajuku mini cross-over shoulder bag, perfect size for putting her iPad in!
Florals and Polkadots..
My daughter, Mia. She poses now.. It took four years but I think she might have a career if she wanted to (but I might be biased). I get excited for her clothes sometimes more than my own! I love styling her and love that she’s easy going and will wear anything I put on her. Her polo dress is the perfect spring green from Ralph lauren. And I paired it with an F21 navy blue floral sweater…. I found a F21 in my area that has a kids section and there are a lot of trendy clothes in kids sizes. She’s also wearing a polkadot headband from F21. And gray tights from Gap kids. I tried to achieve that whole sweater with a collared shirt look that matches but doesn’t. Although I wish they had a statement necklace in her size! Haha.. Must make a DYI for that!
